One of my favourite Instagram posts

One of the things I most admire about neurodivergent individuals is their ability to see things differently.



It is a skill I use professionally as an occupational therapist, sensory integration practitioner and neurodevelopmental diagnostician, and I guess day to day, whilst at home attempting to problem-solve my latest craft or DIY activity (not doing much for the 'basket weaving OT' stereotype here am I?!)


But the best example of this 'out of the box' thinking comes from the people I am lucky enough to work with, who see the world as a kaleidoscope rather than a paint-by-numbers scene, noticing all the magical details around them and the associated myriad of potential and risk.


The world needs all kinds of thinkers,
