Vacation time!

You may have heard the saying "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". This proverb suggests that without rest and leisure pursuits a person becomes both bored and boring.

As Occupational Therapists, we know that occupational balance is so important, even more so for those who are neurodivergent or experiencing mental health challenges. Often those pursuits are the first thing to go, when you feel overwhelmed the natural volition to engage in special interests can lessen, yet it is that very engagement in meaningful activity which is restorative. I have heard this referred to as 'Glimmers' across social media and 'anti-traumas' in ACE's training, by any name, doing more of what you love is good for you!

On that note, I am off on holiday! I will be back in March and will be taking bookings again on my return.
